I’m riding for Poida, for BG, for the Future.

This year is my third year riding. 

Between 2022's ride and last year, we lost Pete, my brother in law, to Cancer. Mesothelioma.

He fought the good fight, but in the end, as is so devastatingly the case, cancer won.

There's nothing I can do to save Pete, but I would love to think that other families don't have to go through what we did because places like The Perkins Institute are so well funded that they find cures, or at least much better treatments for Cancers.

In fact, they do that already. They're incredible. We just need them to do it more, to do it sooner.

For that they need dollars, so we ride 200kms so that we have a reason to ask you for those dollars. 

These WA researchers are committed to finding answers faster and developing ground-breaking treatments for the hardest to treat cancers.

Because no one should have to hear those two life-altering words, “It’s cancer.”

I’m training, fundraising and riding 200km to support WA cancer research. But I’m not doing it alone, there’s a growing group of riders who return year after year to this ride. They do so not only because it’s life changing but because the event feels like a big reunion - where all the guests are the family you love!
