It's my 5th year riding!

In 2021, I made the decision to ride in the MACA 200 after the passing from leukemia of my nephew Hunter. Reflecting on that 5 years, it is an example how one decision can change your life and the life of others. I'm so proud that I have personally raised nearly $20,000 and inspired our team to raise nearly $150,000. Not only that, it has re-enforced the impact that investment in cancer research has on friends and family. My mission continues and I dedicate this years ride to Tracy who passed away from ovarian cancer at the beginning of this year and to Shirley who has spent a great deal of this year focussed on recovering her health from cancer treatment. Also, Kristen who is living her life with fierceness despite a devastating diagnosis. I'm looking forward to the annual meeting of the MACA200 tribe to celebrate life through challenging ourselves with a 200km bike ride and making a difference for the clever researchers at Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research.

I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.

Cancer has taken so much from us. Whether it is a loved one, family member, friend or closer to home, cancer is relentless.

I want to put a stop to cancer by riding 200kms to raise vital funds for cancer research right here in WA.

The funds I raise will go to the brilliant minds at the Perkins who are committed to  breakthroughs that will lead to improved health outcomes for those affected by the hardest-to-treat diseases.

Hearing the words “it’s cancer” is heart-wrenching. But with Perkins researchers, I am determined to eliminate the fear and uncertainty that cancer brings.

On Saturday 4th October and Sunday 5th October 2025, I will pedal alongside my fellow riders who share the dream of making cancer non-lethal. Your support can turn this dream into reality.
