Through their like-minded commitment to corporate social responsibility and passion for giving back to the WA community, Perkins Alliance members are committed to providing in-kind support to maximise the amount of funds going back into cancer research.
The Perkins Alliance is a first-of-its-kind initiative uniting mining sector companies MACA Ltd, Mineral Resources Ltd, WesTrac Pty Ltd and Coates.
Founding Alliance Members (Pictured L to R): Steve (Perkins), Rebecca Grey (MACA), Richard Otway (Westrac), Professor Peter Leedman AO (Perkins), Geoff Baker (MACA), Geoff Bailey (Westrac), Bob Gavranich & John Moralee (Mineral Resources)
Each company is stepping up to provide equipment and trained staff to reduce the considerable overheads that go into ensuring this event runs smoothly and safely. Through their own resources or those of their loyal suppliers, the aim is to bring down hire and logistic costs – everything from toilets to lighting towers is being subsidised!
Title sponsor MACA, has raised more than $19.2 million for the Ride over past 11 years. As well as being an instrumental partner in the Perkins Alliance through their strong culture of giving, MACA also boasts an enormous team with continuing participation.
Aside from this Alliance, Mineral Resources has been a significant supporter of cardiovascular research at the Perkins for many years. The company acknowledges that Ride participation has grown from the bottom up with management proud to support their employees’ passion for this event.
WesTrac has similarly evolved their involvement over time. And alongside boasting their own corporate team, is now the proud sponsors of the inaugural WestTrac Welcome Back event at the Optus Stadium.
Team Mineral Resources
Alongside their in-kind contributions, MACA, WesTrac and Mineral Resources are all long-term supporters of the Ride, and each rally together teams of riders who take on the 200km journey each year.
