I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.
In a few months, I'll be taking on the MACA Cancer 200 Ride as part of the Tundra Resource Analytics team, cycling 200kms to raise funds for life-changing cancer research.
Like so many people, I've seen the impact cancer has on family, friends and colleagues. I am lucky that I have not had to deal with these impacts in my own family circle - but I can see the impacts that others have had to deal with.
In particular, several members from my local Cycling Club where I race every Sunday, have recently lost their battles with cancer. Another special mention goes to my friend and colleague Dan Renfrey, who is currently fighting his cancer battle. This ride is for you. 💛🚴
Every time I ride it reminds me how precious time is and how important this community can be. While the kilometres will be tough, they'll be ridden with gratitude, reflection, and the hope that one day fewer families will have to experience the heartbreak that cancer brings.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported me and to those cheering us on from the sidelines!
