I'm challenging myself for cancer research
Hello my friends,
Almost everyone I know has been touched by cancer sometime in their lives. Whether the diagnosis is a loved one, family member or it’s much, much more personal, cancer is a terrible burden. :(
This will be my 5th year taking part as a rider (6 including my year as support crew) I am joining over 800 riders in a 2-day, 200km bike ride to raise funds for cancer research right here in WA at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Let me tell you the ride never gets any easier but the crazy gang of our Team MAMILS makes it a pleasure to ride despite the pain endured throughout. Yep they are all completely bonkers.
I am training by doing regular exercise (I am pretty sure most of you will know I love my Boogie workout!) but I do need to crank up the kilometres in the saddle (at least I have a comfy saddle for this years ride!woohoo).
I am working on the fundraising with the support of family & friends, generous locals at the Bunnings sausage sizzle & our lovely customers generously filling up our donation tins we have on the waffle wagon counter. As you know I strive to go above & beyond my fundrasing target of $2500 & really, really appreciate any donations that kindly come my way.
You can also support me by cheering us on along the way on the weekend of the ride, myself, & I think the other riders will agree, that we couldn't get through it without this amazing support (ask me for the route closer to the date.)
Please help me, help the Perkins, each donation makes a huuuuuge difference as we work towards finding a cure for cancer.
Thank You , Thank you, Thank you. xxxxxx
