13th Consecutive Year of Riding for a Reason
2024 will mark the 13th time that team Mel’s Breast Friend’s - formed to honour the memory of Melissa Renouf who lost her battle with Breast Cancer on the first day of the ride in 2013 - has participated in this most worthy event raising awareness of , and much needed funding for, ongoing efforts to reduce and hopefully remove the impact that a cancer diagnosis has on the lives of so many.
Over these years MBF has been blessed to have a strong contingent of dedicated supporters including our very generous and major sponsors the Walter Family through the JWH Group and the Purich Family though Structerre Consulting Engineers. Alongside them are numerous other donors who contribute either financially or personally through encouragement and provision of time and resources for team assistance.
Every year we have a team of very special people who are strongly committed to raising funds and completing this ride “because they can”.
All members of our team have had their life upturned by the realisation that a Cancer diagnosis has affected them either directly or through a family member, a friend or a colleague. They ride for that reason, for those who are undergoing treatment and in memory of those no longer with them in life.
Your support to a team member or to the team itself - no matter how big or small - will be received with sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation.
