Make a tax-deductible donation to help fund cancer research, or I'll send you photos of me in lycra (and nobody wants that...)
When I first registered with the MACA 200 Ride for Cancer Research in 2020- I was riding for my Grandfather Imerio (Michael) Longa , who was battling several cancers.
In 2021, after various treatments- he lost that fight.
Since then- several other of my family members have also been diagnosed with cancer, really bringing this cause closer to my heart.
In 2024, I’m back and once again taking a stand against cancer and backing the brilliant brains at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. These WA researchers are committed to finding answers faster and developing ground-breaking treatments for the hardest-to-treat cancers. Because no one should have to hear those two life-altering words, “It’s cancer.”
I’m training, fundraising, and riding 200km to support WA cancer research. But I’m not doing it alone; there’s a growing group of riders who return year after year to this ride. Originally just riding with my fellow team WesTrac riders- this year I have gained the support of friends' outside of work who want to get in, fundraise & make a difference in the community for those they love as well!
I’d be so thankful for your support. If you can’t join me (there are still registration spots available!), please consider donating to my fundraising page. Since the first year, my friends, family & supporters have helped me individually raise over $12,000 which has directly allowed the Perkins' Institute to continue to carry out life-changing research.
Together, we can help make cancer a distant memory.
