I'm challenging myself once again for cancer research
What an extraordinary year 2020 has been! and I hope you are all ok and coped with a world that has been turned upside down. I feel so lucky to be living in the safest place in the world but if anything, these past months have just highlighted the importance of medical research!!
Research to understand, treat and protect us humans from a novel virus.
Research also to understand, treat and protect us from Cancer! Because cancer does not go away because of a pandemic!!
This year, I am joining over 800 riders in a 200km bike ride to raise funds for cancer research right here in WA at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. But it is going to be different. In order to respect the new normal of social distancing, and the uncertainty that comes with living in our WA global pandemic bubble, Peter and I will still be riding to Mandurah and back on the weekend of October 10/11, clocking up the 200km, but without the physical support of a team, except that we anticipate hundreds of others doing the same thing in their own way.
I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. I'd love your support, please give generously to my donation page.
This year I ride for two extraordinary women, Kylie and Angie.
With love and thanks.
