How Quickly Mick Passed.
Here is just a little overview of the how quickly Mick went from diagnosed to Sadly passing away in 2019.
Back in October of 2018 Mick went into hospital with jaundice eyes and later that week was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. Within hours of his diagnosis, he was transferred from Geraldton regional to Sir Charles Gardner in Perth where he started undergoing different treatment methods. In Late November of 2018 Mick underwent a 14-hour long Whipple procedure. Unfortunately, due to the location of the tumors doctors were unable to remove the cancer. Within in weeks of his procedure his cancer had drastically spread to his lymph nodes and other organs in his body. Mick continued to undergo various chemotherapy treatments in hopes that it would shrink the cancer and prolong his life. By March of 2019 He was then officially diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer and was deemed terminally ill. In August of 2019, 10 months after his original diagnosis mick had unfortunately lost his battle to this horrific disease.
Mick had an incredible spirit throughout his cancer journey and always found a way to have a laugh with his family and close friends. He also got to watch Ryan and his Stepson Blocka aka Jeffrey run in the HBF fun run back in 2019 and was incredibly proud and grateful for us and the fact that we were trying to bring awareness to this silent killer.
