I’m riding 200 kms to beat cancer

So, this year in 2024 I have joined an organised ride to help raise funds for the brilliant minds at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research here in Perth, Western Australia.

These researchers are committed to finding answers faster and developing ground-breaking treatments for the hardest to treat cancers. Much progress has been made to help us better understand this disease but there is still much more work to do, and many more breakthroughs needed.

I’m training, fundraising and preparing to ride  200km to support WA cancer research. I’m not doing it alone, I am training and riding in a small team all of whom are first time riders like me. We are also part of a growing group of riders who return year after year to this ride.  It is a very supportive group, and many of whom are riding because someone they know has been impacted by cancer.
