I’M RIDING IN MEMORY OF My Grandmother, Maureen

I’m riding in memory of my Nan, who we lost to cancer, and for my Aunty Ann, who has been battling it with strength and courage. I’m riding for every loved one and stranger who may one day face it. Every kilometre is for them.

I’m riding for the people cancer has taken and those still fighting

I’m riding the MACA Cancer 200 in memory of my Nan, who died from cancer, and for my Aunty Ann, who has been battling it. I’m also riding for the people in my life who may one day hear those words and need every bit of hope, treatment and support available.

This year and for the first time, I’m taking on the 200km ride with my partner and inspiration, Natalie Owen.

For me, this is not just about getting on a bike and ticking off a challenge. It is about doing something useful with the grief, fear and helplessness that cancer leaves behind. It is about turning that into action.

The funds raised go to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, supporting WA researchers working on better answers for some of the toughest cancers.

I’d be grateful for any support you can give. Every donation helps push the research forward, and every kilometre I ride will carry the names and stories of the people behind this cause.

Together, we can help give more loved ones and families better outcomes.
