Four months to go

So the Ride My Wheel team are progressing in leaps and bounds and I am extremely proud of both the riders and our devoted supporters who do so much behind the scenes to help us out.
We had a successful Bunnings sausage sizzle day yesterday 28th of May down in Mandurah. A great day that say the whole team and supporters turn out to raise approximately $3,000 for the team.
Our next events are the Bogan Bingo night coming up this weekend on 3rd of June at the Port Kennedy RSL. We also have a paella night on 1st of July so keep your eyes out for details on that event.
We have an Instagram account now, so go to the search function and type in Ride My Wheel and you should find us.
Finally, we are well on our way to progressing a personalised team shirt for the ride this year. It has only been possible through the marvellous support of our major sponsors in Blackmores, The Sebel Mandurah, Anytime Fitness Meadow Springs and Fleet Cycles Mandurah. Thanks as well to Game Clothing ( who will be kitting out the team. Photos to come soon !!

I’m riding to beat cancer

There isn’t a single person I know that hasn’t been touched by cancer. Whether it’s through a loved one, friend, family member or it’s much more personal, cancer is a terrible burden.

In 2023, I’m taking a stand against cancer and backing the brilliant brains at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

These WA researchers are committed to finding answers faster and developing ground-breaking treatments for the hardest to treat cancers.

Because no one should have to hear those two life-altering words, “It’s cancer.”

I’m training, fundraising and riding 200km to support WA cancer research. But I’m not doing it alone, there’s a growing group of riders who return year after year to this ride. They do so not only because it’s lifechanging but because the event feels like a big reunion - where all the guests are the family you love!

I’d be so grateful for your support.

If you can’t join me (I’d love the company), please give generously to my fundraising page.

Together, we can help make cancer history.

The Sun is large enough that approximately 1.3 million Earths could fit inside (if squashed in) or if the Earths retained their spherical shape then 960,000 would fit. But can you visualise that number of Earths?

Best of luck, Rob!
