BACKROADS 2025

Hi all,

Today I’ll be riding in the Backroads event set in the scenic Chapman Valley. I’ll be completing 65kms of the finest gravel in the mid-west! As you all know this is a bit of a springboard into the Cancer 200 event in October where I’ll be riding 200kms over the course of the weekend to raise money for the Harry Perkins institute for cancer research. I’M BOOKING KM’S TO BEAT CANCER.

In October I’ll be riding 200kms over 2 days to raise money for the Harry Perkins Institute supporting their cancer research, Perth to Mandurah return. Having lost many people close to me to cancer, I believe it to be a worthy cause and one I have supported for many years.

Due to a recent mid-life crisis, I've taken up the latest craze of cycling. Having cycled not more than 80km in a single day as yet, it may present as a bit of a challenge, but I’m up for it. Armed with a new bike, training is in full(ish) swing, and by the time October rolls around, those 200km's are as good as in the bag. Those that know me well enough will admit I’ll just keep pressing on till the end:-)

Anything you could donate to me and our team of "Wheely Ambitious" riders would be amazing. Besides, who doesn’t love a cheeky tax deductable fundraising donation to pop in at tax time!
