  • We're on a mission to defeat cancer

    Team Hippo is a group of friends on a mission to raise awareness and funds for cancer research 


    Team Hippo rides in memory of Naomi Whittam-Murphy and rides for all those affected by Cancer.


    Our Story 


    In 2025 our team captain lost his sister to Stage 4 Bowel cancer. To make a difference and so his sister’s name would not be forgotten he road his bike 9000km with 100,000m of elevation from the top of Alaska to Mexican border in just over 2 months via the Tour divide race route solo and unsupported raising awareness and funds for the Perkins.


    Our team raised over $18,000 last year with the goal of recruiting more friends this year and to raise a whole lot more money for such a good cause.


    Our team values are to be loving and caring and support all people as we strive to make a difference.
