I consider myself fortunate to have only a few really close friends with whom I share amazing fond memories through our youth, meeting our wives, and starting our families. I find it difficult to write that one of those friends, aged 48, is going through stage 4 oesophagus and stomach cancer, with no option of surgery. He is currently travelling with his wife conceding that the bucket list must be rewritten under new rules that no one deserves, yet I feel selfish for wanting but will be grateful for receiving a more a few more fond memories, fearfully conscious they may fade as my friend may no longer be there to share them with.
Hopefully event such as these will help the scientist and researcher develop faster and better treatments – all the best with your ride
