Let's beat cancer together!
Everyone has been touched by cancer. Whether it’s through a loved one, friend, family member or it’s much more personal, cancer is a terrible burden.
My riding partner who established Team Hunter is Alison. She lost her nephew to cancer in January 2021. Hunter was 11 years of age when first diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia. He endured two bone marrow transplants, spent months on end in hospital but sadly lost his battle to this deadly disease at age 14.
2021 is the year Alison and I hope to help beat cancer. We are committed to the MACA Cancer 200 ride to help the amazing cancer researchers at WA’s Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
The Perkins is dedicated to helping keep our families healthy and together for longer. They’re focused on pioneering medical breakthroughs and discovering new treatments for this disease and they won’t stop until cancer is history. My sister Sharon, is a breast cancer survivor, twice over and our family is forever grateful for the resources and support she received.
We are also riding for Pauline, our beautiful RPM instructor who recently had a breast cancer diagnosis. She has recovered from surgery & subsequent treatment and is back teaching RPM again. Cancer research can and has saved lives.
I am training, fundraising and riding 200km to support this cause. And I’d be so grateful for your support!
Please help me, help the Perkins.
