I’M RIDING IN MEMORY OF My Family Member, Meron

I started this ride in memory of my Aunt back in 2012 - I came back in 2021 and now continue this ride for my husband, my family, and friends who stare into the face of cancer and say - NO THANKS!

This year hits a bit differently...

My first ride was all about getting on my bike, raising money for research and pushing myself in a way I never had before - well outside my comfort zone in so many ways. My beautiful Aunt who passed away when I was 25 was my focus and inspiration - and to this day her photo is on my bike as my reminder to never give up when the going gets tough, my "extra push" whenever i feel like I might want to give up on those tough climbs.
I have now ridden 6 years (this will be my 7th) raising money for this amazing research facility at Harry Perkins Medical Institute.
Last year everything shifted a little sideways, as several of my friends and then my husband all had cancer invade their lives. We have all been blessed though so far, in that everyone is tracking well and keeping the beast at bay - but this disease is insidious and has changed lives forever.
SO: this year I ride with and for my husband as he recovers from his treatment. I ride for my friends who are in remission, I ride for my friend who is still winning the war even though she was diagnosed stage 4 a year ago (If you met her you would never know!) These people are my heroes - they get up and get on with life like the champions they are.
Hubby is one of the lucky ones - prognosis is great for him - as a direct result of newer and more effective treatment option now available for his cancer. We will be forever grateful that he had access quickly and has a much greater chance of full recovery than he would have had this happened years ago.
THIS is why we need the research to continue - to be forever increasing the odds of beating this disease - for everyone.
I ride with a gratefulness that I can - filled with love and passion for all my people, and all the ones I don't know but whose energy fills this space with such love and hope for the future. XOXO

I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it shakes up families, friends and communities. This year, I will be taking a stand against it.

In October 2026, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.

100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.

The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.

I can’t do this alone. Will you help me to reach this goal?

Whether you join me on the Ride or support my fundraising, your generosity could be the key to saving our loved ones from this disease.

Together, we can beat cancer!
