Riding for a Cause: Honouring My Dad and Supporting Cancer Research
Cancer doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed – it ripples through families, friends, and communities. This year, I’m taking a stand against it. On October 5th, 2024, I lost my dad to cancer. In his memory, I’m riding with Glen, Aido, Darren, and the entire GTS team to help raise funds for cancer research.
On Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th, 2025, I’ll join a community of passionate riders to cycle 200 km in support of cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Every dollar raised brings us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins Institute, where brilliant researchers are working tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they can’t do it alone. Your support is crucial to ensure their progress continues – no matter what.
100% of the funds we raise go directly to supporting these researchers so they can continue their work, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and giving hope to countless families facing cancer. Your contribution has the power to make a real difference.
The Ride is more than just a physical challenge—it’s a symbol of unity. I’ll be riding alongside a group of incredible people who share the belief that cancer can be conquered. But I can’t do it alone. That’s where you come in.
Will you help me reach my fundraising goal?
Whether you choose to join me on the Ride or support my fundraising efforts, your generosity can be the key to giving others the gift of more time with their loved ones. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring us closer to a world where cancer is no longer a threat.
Together, we can beat cancer
