Riding Again—Because Cancer Doesn’t Quit
Cancer has taken too much from too many. It’s personal—for all of us. Whether it’s a loved one, a friend, or someone closer to home, we’ve all felt its impact.
Last year, we put 15 riders from RWC into the MACA Cancer 200. Together, we raised nearly $100,000 for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. It was an incredible experience—full of grit, camaraderie, and purpose. And we’re not done yet.
This October, I’m back in the saddle, riding 200km over two days to support life-saving cancer research right here in WA. I’m riding to honour those we’ve lost, to support those still fighting, and to help fund the breakthroughs that will change lives.
At RWC, we talk about SPIRIT—Safety, Passion, Innovation, Reliability, and Team. These values aren’t just for the workplace. They show up in moments like this:
The teamwork that got us through every kilometre last year.
The passion that fuels our commitment to this cause.
The reliability of showing up, year after year, to keep pushing forward.
The innovation happening at the Perkins, turning donations into discoveries.
And the focus on safety, both on the road and in the future we’re trying to build—one without cancer.
If you supported us last year—thank you. If you’re new to the Ride, I’d love to have you along for the journey. Whether you donate, cheer us on, or even join the team, your support makes a real difference.
Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s ride. Let’s research. Let’s beat cancer.
