Riding 200km for a Cause That Matters
This year, I’m taking on the challenge of riding 200km in the MACA Ride for Cancer, and it’s more than just a physical challenge for me. It’s personal.
Like so many families, mine has been deeply affected by cancer. I’ve seen loved ones fight with incredible strength, some who have come out the other side, and others we’ve sadly lost along the way. Those experiences stay with you, and they’re the reason I’m committed to doing something that can make a difference.
This ride is my way of honouring them. It’s for my family, for the people currently in the fight, and for those who will face it in the future.
I’ve set a goal to raise $5,000 to support vital cancer research and patient care. Every dollar raised goes towards improving treatments, supporting families, and ultimately working toward a cure.
Training for 200km will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what so many people go through every day. That perspective is what will keep me pushing forward when it gets hard.

In October 2026, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.
100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.
The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.
