I’M RIDING IN CELEBRATION OF My Friend, Shae Watmore
Please help me raise funds and support my cause.
Riding for Shae
My best mate Shae passed in February this year after a three year battle with colon-rectal cancer. He is survived by his wife and 7 year old son.Â
There aren’t the words to describe his journey. The strength and resilience of that man is something I’ll never fully understand.
Shae was a state champion road cyclist. A few months before he passed he gave me his old race bike and set me up with a trainer. He wanted someone to show his son the beauty of road biking. I’m not a biker, but over the last few months I have started to fall in love with it. And it’s only because of Shae’s generosity that I can do this.
In October I am riding 200km on Shae’s bike to raise money to fund a cure - to be rid of this horror so that no one else has to endure what Shae and his family have had to endure. The ride will raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Whether you join me on the Ride or support my fundraising, your generosity contributes to efforts that will save our loved ones from this disease.

Helen has and always will be a great friend to me and my mum. The loss of Shae is huge! Diana
