Please support my fundraising efforts for cancer research
After some inclement weather on the first day of the MACA ride last year and looking like a drowned rat at the finish line, I told myself that it would be the last time I’d take on the challenge.
Then I started reflecting on the stories that I’ve heard over the course of the ride weekend the last two years, from those dealing with various cancer battles, and those recovering from one. Then you’ve got the stories from people that have lost friends and loved ones from cancer, which is what hits the hardest, and provides a stark reminder of why the community needs events like this to raise funds for cancer research.Â
So when I decided to have one more go at the ride this year, what motivated me was the thought that the money being raised from the ride may help people within my circle or their loved ones at some point in the future. Â
That’s where I need your support, because riding 200kms means nothing without it. Regardless of the amount, I would greatly appreciate any donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. It’s your generosity and support that keeps me motivated over the ride weekend when the legs are burning.
