I’M RIDING IN HONOUR OF My Wife, Lynda McCutcheon

This ride is dedicated to my wife. Watching her face the challenges of cancer with determination and grace has shown me the true meaning of resilience. Every kilometre I ride in in honour of her and for everyone affected by cancer.

One Kilometre at a Time

As the MACA Cancer 200 approaches, I wanted to take a moment to share why this ride means so much to me.

This year, I'm riding in honour of my wife. Like so many families, cancer has touched our lives and shown us firsthand the strength, resilience and courage required to face the challenges it brings.

Every kilometre I ride is a reminder of her determination and the countless others who are navigating their own cancer journey. While the training rides can be tough, they are nothing compared to the battles faced by those living with cancer and the families who support them.

That's why I'm proud to be taking part in the Cancer 200 and helping raise funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. The work they do is making a real difference through groundbreaking research, new treatments and hope for future generations.

Training is progressing well, and with only a few weeks to go until we roll out of Perth, the excitement is building. The team has been putting in the kilometres, and we're looking forward to taking on the challenge together.

To everyone who has already donated, shared my page or offered words of support, thank you. Your generosity is helping fund vital cancer research and is greatly appreciated.

If you'd like to support my ride, any contribution, big or small, will help make a difference.

Together, we can help create a future free from cancer.

I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it shakes up families, friends and communities. This year, I will be taking a stand against it.

In October 2026, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.

100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.

The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.

I can’t do this alone. Will you help me to reach this goal?

Whether you join me on the Ride or support my fundraising, your generosity could be the key to saving our loved ones from this disease.

Together, we can beat cancer!
