I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.

I wasn't going to do this again.  It is hard work chasing donations and really, I don't like asking others for money.

This year I had planned a trip with a bunch of good friends in late September to ride in France instead.

Things didn't quite go to plan.  At the end of March I had a self-inflicted unplanned bicycle dismounting event and broke just about everything: neck, back, ribs, collarbone and shoulder blade.  The good news is that with the addition of a bit of titanium here and there and some clever surgery I should make a pretty complete recovery.  Then the bad news came in.  I was not able to ride a bike again until October.

So, then I got talked into rocking up for this great event and supporting the Perkins again.

I am not sure how I feel about rolling out from the start with a big bunch.  I am kind of scared of being knocked off, which is odd because in 13 pervious events this doesn't seem to happen.  Perhaps I will ride the tricycle.
