I’M RIDING IN MEMORY OF My Mum, Janet Bottom

I’m riding for Mum. I’m riding for the families going through cancer today, and for a future where fewer families have to experience the loss cancer can bring.

For Mum. For Every Family Touched by Cancer.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person. It impacts families, friends and entire communities. For me, this ride is personal.

On 17 & 18 October 2026, I’ll be taking on the MACA Cancer 200 – Ride for the Perkins, cycling 200km over two days to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

I’ll be riding in memory of my mum, Janet.

Like far too many families, we know what it means to have cancer become part of your lives. I can’t change what happened to Mum, but I can do something positive in her memory and help support the research that could change the future for other families.

Every kilometre I ride and every dollar donated will help support researchers at the Perkins who are working to better understand cancer and develop improved treatments.

100% of the funds raised through the Cancer 200 go directly to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, helping their researchers continue this important work.

The 200km will be a challenge, but that’s exactly what it should be. I’ll be riding alongside hundreds of people who have their own reasons, their own stories and their own loved ones motivating them to keep pedalling.

My goal is to raise at least $2,500, and I’d be grateful for any support you can give.

Whether it's making a donation, sharing my page, or simply encouraging me as the training kilometres build, it all helps.

Thank you for being part of my ride.
