Iโ€™M RIDING IN MEMORY OF My Family Member

Like so many, the last few years have brought cancer far too close to our family. We lost my beloved father-in-law, Bix, to myeloma. At the same time, my niece Rayne faced her own cancer battle with Leukaemia and, thankfully, hers came with a very different outcome. When you watch people you love face cancer, the importance of research stops being abstract. Research means earlier diagnoses. Better treatments. More options. More time. And for so many families, it can be what tips the balance between a devastating outcome and a hopeful one. Thatโ€™s why, this weekend for the fourth year in a row, Iโ€™ll be getting back on the bike with the legends at Team Smiley and riding more than 200km over two days in the Macca 200 to raise funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research This year, those kilometres will mean a little more. If you can spare a few dollars to support cancer research, and help tip the balance for more families, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation matters. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค

Iโ€™m on a mission to defeat cancer.

Cancer doesnโ€™t just affect one person, it shakes up families, friends and communities. This year, I will be taking a stand against it.ย

In October 2026, Iโ€™m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continuesโ€“ no matter what.

ย 100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.

The Ride is more than just a test of enduranceโ€”itโ€™s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.

I canโ€™t do this alone. Will you help me to reach this goal?

Whether you join me on the Ride or support my fundraising, your generosity could be the key to saving our loved ones from this disease.

Together, we can beat cancer!
