Training Update

After a two-year break, I’m returning for my sixth MACA Cancer 200. This year, my preparation has been more focused than ever to ensure I’m ready to smash the 200km journey.

The Progress

I’ve moved past my previous performance plateaus and am seeing significant improvement.

The Mission

Every early morning and every kilometer logged is for the Perkins Institute. The effort I put into training is small compared to the challenges faced by those the Perkins supports through their life-changing cancer research.

Your support is what truly drives this mission. Every donation goes directly toward finding the breakthroughs we need.

Pedalling for Progress: My 6th Year Supporting Harry Perkins

Riding 240km to transform the future of cancer research.

In October, I will be returning for my sixth MACA Cancer 200. This 200km journey from Perth to Mandurah and back is a significant commitment to the life-saving work conducted at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

As an avid cyclist, I am fortunate to combine my passion for the sport with a cause that affects so many Western Australian families. Having completed this ride five times previously, I wanted to raise the stakes for my sixth year.

The Added Challenge: To push my limits and drive further support, I am also taking on the 40km Challenge section through the Perth Hills. This adds significant elevation and testing climbs to an already demanding 200km weekend, bringing my total distance to 240km.

Why I am riding: Cancer continues to challenge our community, but research provides the path forward. Every dollar raised goes directly towards world-class equipment and expertise right here in Perth, ensuring that the brightest minds have the tools they need to fight this disease.

How you can help: I am aiming to make my sixth year my most impactful yet. Any donation—large or small—is greatly appreciated and is fully tax-deductible. Knowing that your support is behind me will be the ultimate motivation as I tackle those extra kilometers in the hills.

Thank you for supporting me and for contributing to a cancer-free future.
