Nanna on a mission ... to tackle cancer

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it throws a wrecking ball into the lives of families and friends. THIS year, I will be doing something about it! 

In October 2026 I will be riding 200km in one BIG weekend in the MACA200 Ride against Cancer. I’m joining a community of over 1500 riders CYCLING THEIR BUTTS OFF to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

 100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins here in Western Australia, where every dollar pushes cancer researchers closer to life-saving answers to some of the toughest cancers and to find life-enhancing treatments.

My team is "Bent Not Broken" .. as I'll be riding my 'bent (recumbent) trike. It's a fast bike, but these 71yo legs are slow so, it will take a  LOOOONG time each day on the MACA Weekend. But the battle for our cancer survivors is long and hard too - it's the least I can do.
