💙 Bound by Love, Driven by Purpose 💙

2025 marks my 12th year riding in the Cancer 200. That’s over 2,750km ridden, more than $55,000 raised, and a journey that has touched every part of my life. Over the years, I’ve come to realise that cancer leaves no one untouched – family, friends, colleagues – it affects us all.

For me, it became deeply personal in 2018 when we lost Dad. He had been undergoing immunotherapy, a treatment made possible through the very research this ride helps fund. That treatment gave us something we can never measure: time. Precious time to create memories, to say the things that needed saying, and to just be together.

Since Dad’s passing, this event has grown into something far more than a fundraiser for our family. It’s become a weekend of connection, of reflection, and of togetherness. Mum, Kylie, Amanda, Rebecca, Isabella, Annalise, Harrison – we all come together to ride, volunteer, support, and remember. And somehow, despite the loss and the grief, there’s so much joy in it too. Joy in the stories shared. Joy in the road ahead. Joy in doing something that means something.

These weekends are emotional but also uplifting. Somehow, amidst the pain, there’s laughter, pride, connection – and a shared sense that we’re doing something that truly matters.

Every dollar raised goes towards cancer research right here in WA at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. And that research is changing lives. It gave our family time with Dad we wouldn’t have had otherwise. It’s giving others hope. And with your help, it will go even further.

So, as I train and prepare for another 200km this October, I ask again for your support. If you can donate, please do. Every bit counts. Together, we can honour the ones we’ve lost and stand beside the ones still fighting.

Together, we can help make cancer history.
