9 years in, and the mission is the same - Beat Cancer
Cancer doesn't just affect one person — it impacts entire families, friends and communities. This year, I'm continuing to take a stand against it.
This October will mark my 9th year taking part in the Cancer200 Ride, I will be joining a fantastic community of like-minded riders to cycle 200km and raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Nine years in, the reason hasn't changed, every dollar raised helps the brilliant researchers at the Perkins to keep working towards breakthroughs for some of the toughest cancers — and 100% of what we raise goes straight back to them, funding the work that helps our loved ones live longer, healthier lives.
The Ride has always been about more than the kilometres. It's the community of riders, donors and researchers who all believe cancer can be beaten — and I'm grateful to keep being part of it.
If you're able to chip in, every bit helps and means a lot. No pressure at all, any donation regardless of how small, a share, or just following along as I take on another 200km will all count.
Regardless thank you for being part of this journey with me, year after year. Together, we can all help in the fight to beat cancer, and hopefully help ensure someone we know and love doesn't have to go through it.
