Progress
The fundraising is of to a great start , the bikes prepped the legs are not but that’s ok that’s my job to pedal pedal pedalI’m on a mission to defeat cancer.
This October, I will be riding in the MACA200, a charity ride raising funds for the Perkins Institute and the incredible work they do in cancer research.
Cancer is savage. It’s relentless. Most of us have seen firsthand the impact it has on the people we love. But it also brings out the very best in people — courage, resilience, determination, and the strength to keep fighting.
Over the past 6 years, thanks to the support of family, friends, and generous donors, I’ve raised more than $10,000 for this cause.
This year’s ride hits a little closer to home. Like every year, I signed up without hesitation, but shortly afterwards my mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer and is now beginning her treatment journey. It’s a stark reminder of why events like this matter and why continued research is so important.
My goal this year is to raise $5,000, and I can’t get there without your help.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. And let’s be honest — surely seeing me squeeze into Lycra and pedal 200km is worth a few dollars on its own!
If you’re able to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Together, we can help fund research that gives hope to patients and families facing cancer.
Thank you for your support. ❤️

We believe strong communities are built when people step forward for causes that matter — and taking on a 200km ride to support cancer research is exactly the kind of commitment that deserves backing. Cancer impacts families, workplaces, and communities across Australia and beyond. Supporting research that drives better treatments, better outcomes, and ultimately hope for those affected is something we’re honoured to contribute to. To everyone involved in the ride: thank you for turning determination into action. We’re behind you all the way.
