A Tribute to Carolyn Butler

Carolyn Butler was a devoted wife to Laurie and an adoring mother to their four children Patrick, Gabrielle, Leighton, and Shenton. 

She was dearly loved by her brother Eddie Stone, and many other close family members and friends.

Carolyn fought incredibly hard against her terminal diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and sadly passed away in April 2026 just a few days before her 60th birthday, surrounded by her beautiful family. 

Despite her battle against the odds  she always prayed for a miracle and found and gave joy to all those she encountered. Her kind soul is now at peace with Jesus in heaven.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the least researched and underfunded. Because there are no screening tools, it is often only found in the later stages, and has a very low survival rate.

We are riding 200kilometres to raise awareness and funding for cancer research, particularly pancreatic cancer 💜, to prevent precious lives being taken far too soon.
