I’m on a mission to help defeat cancer
On Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, I will be taking on the MACA Cancer200 Challenge, riding an epic 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Perkins Institute.
This isn’t my first time lining up at the start line. Last year, I completed 158km, pushing through sore legs, long days, and mental hurdles — all for a cause that affects so many of us. After crossing that finish line, I knew one thing for sure: I wasn’t done. So this year, I’m back for round two, stepping up the challenge and committing to an even bigger ride.
I am riding once again as part of Chafing the Dream, a team of brave riders donning the lycra and tackling the demanding two-day route from Perth to Mandurah and back. The bike is ready, the training is underway, and the kilometres are already stacking up.
My fundraising goal is $10,000, and I’d love to give that target a big ol’ nudge and make an even bigger impact. And because a little extra motivation never hurts…
If $10,000 is raised before August 15th, I will shave my
head.
No backing out. No excuses. Just a very breezy scalp for a brilliant cause.
Every donation — no matter how small — helps fund life-changing cancer research and brings us closer to better treatments and outcomes. Your support means the world, keeps me pedalling through the tough moments, and turns every kilometre into something truly meaningful.
Let’s help smash the goal, support groundbreaking research, and maybe witness a dramatic haircut along the way.
I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.
Together, We Can Beat Cancer
Cancer doesn’t just affect one person — it impacts entire families, friendships, and communities. This year, I’m taking a stand against it.
In October 2026, I’ll be joining Chafing The Dream and a passionate community of riders to cycle 200km in support of life-saving cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Every dollar we raise brings us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins, where brilliant researchers are working tirelessly to find answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they can’t do it alone — and that’s where we come in.
100% of the funds raised go directly to the Perkins, helping researchers continue their vital work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.
The Ride is more than a physical challenge — it’s a symbol of unity, hope, and determination. I’ll be riding alongside an incredible group of people who share one belief: cancer can be conquered.
But I can’t do this alone. Will you help me reach my goal?
