I’M RIDING IN HONOUR OF My Friend, Hamish Howe
I’m taking on the MACA Cancer 200 ride to support an incredibly important cause that has hit close to home. Nearly two years ago, a close friend’s son was diagnosed with a brain tumor on his 13th birthday — a moment that completely changed his life and the lives of everyone around him. Watching the strength, resilience, and courage this young boy has shown through such a tough journey has been both inspiring and humbling. It’s also a powerful reminder of how many families are facing similar battles every day. I’m riding to honour his fight, to support his family, and to help raise vital funds for cancer research and support services. Every kilometre I ride is for him and for all those impacted by cancer. Any support, big or small, will make a difference and is hugely appreciated. Together, we can help bring hope, improve outcomes, and move closer to a future without cancer.

In October 2026, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.
 100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.
The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.
