I’M RIDING IN CELEBRATION OF My Wife, Kristi

I’m riding for my family. 💛 This year’s Cancer 200 Ride is on October 17–18, and I’m determined to get on top of my fundraising early. Over time, cancer has hit closer and closer to home for me. My wife fought and beat breast cancer — and watching her go through chemo, the sickness, and the recovery in between was incredibly tough. Her strength still amazes me. My brother Ryan has beaten melanoma after multiple surgeries and skin grafts — and this year, once again I’ll be riding alongside him. We’ve also lost loved ones — my Aunty Jo and Uncle Si — and seen close calls within the family. Right now, our Uncle Mark is in the fight, and some even closer to home. This isn’t something far away anymore. It’s here. It’s personal. That’s why I’m riding — to support the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and the work they’re doing right here in WA to find better treatments and outcomes.
