This year 10k for my 10 th year
2026 will be my 10th year I complete the Maca 200km ride raising important funds for cancer research. When I completed my first ride in 2017 I said I’d ride for 10 years. What an experience it has for someone back then who hated riding. Over the years have experience all kinds of weather rain, hail and excessive heat but what never changed was the comarardery amongst the riders. The laughs the tears and hearing all the stories and why people ride in this amazing event. The first year I rode with two names on my arm and over the years it’s increased to 12 some we have lost, some still enduring and those that have beaten it. I rode for my dad, my sister, my mother in law and father in law and friends. This year I ride for me and all I have achieved still completing ride post injuries and not always having the best training and this year won’t be any different especially returning two weeks before the ride travelling Australia. 🤦♀️. But I made a promise 10 K for my 10 th year this will mean over the 10 years I would hit my target personally of raising over 50 k. I have also promised my team mates if I make 10 K I will take in the whole experience and for the first time sleep in tent city ( this will be huge for me) as don’t sleep the best of times, This year I’m excited as mum and dad will be at the finish line and I rode for my dad the first year I rode so I am sure there will be tears. So please get behind me this year as you always have and help me crack the 10 K. Thanks to you all for always supporting me and our team #Justkeepriding 💙🚴♀️🐠I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.
Cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it shakes up families, friends and communities. This year, I will be taking a stand against it.
On Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 October 2025, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.
100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.
The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.
I can’t do this alone. Will you help me to reach this goal?
Whether you join me on the Ride or support my fundraising, your generosity could be the key to saving our loved ones from this disease.
Together, we can beat cancer!
