Team Smiley: A Legacy of Hope and Strength

For the past 10 years, I’ve been part of this ride, either as a rider or support crew. It’s become a weekend of inspiration, reflection, and family.

My family is Team Smiley. The name and the smiley face on our jerseys were created by my brother-in-law to spread joy and light, even during his own battle with cancer. Team Smiley is not just a group of cyclists—it’s a legacy. We continue the work he started, uniting as a community to change lives.

The funds I raise support the incredible researchers at the Perkins Institute, who are working to find breakthroughs for the hardest-to-treat diseases. Your support, whether by joining the ride or donating, truly makes a difference.
