Riding to beat cancer again

Hi Everyone,

October is just around the corner and with that I’m stepping up my training and fundraising efforts for this years MACA Cancer 200 fundraiser I’m riding in again. Like last year, this year I’m again riding in honour of the Grandpa who succumbed to cancer on my birthday 7 years ago.

I’ve set my self a bit of an ambitious target to raise $4000 for this years ride in an effort to get onto the MACA Cancer 200 Honour Roll, and I’m about 10% of the way there. In theory, with my 400+ friends on Facebook, if everyone donated $10 we’d achieve that goal easily. I know not everyone may be in a position to donate,, but for those that can, any amount would be hugely appreciated :)

As a sweetener, any $500+ donations I receive, you’ll be first in line to be taken for a few Hotlaps in my fire breathing 400whp+ sequentially shifted weapon of an MX5 racecar when it’s completed next year!

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it shakes up families, friends and communities. This year, I will be taking a stand against it.

On Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 October 2025, I’m joining a community of passionate riders to cycle 200km to raise vital funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Every dollar pushes us closer to breakthroughs at the Perkins where brilliant researchers work tirelessly to find life-saving answers for some of the toughest cancers. But they also need our help to ensure their vital progress continues– no matter what.

100% of the funds we raise will go back to the Perkins giving cancer researchers the support to continue their life-saving work so that our loved ones can live longer, healthier lives.

The Ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s about unity. I'll ride alongside an incredible group of people who believe, as I do, that cancer can be conquered. Your support can turn this belief into reality.
