I’m on a mission to defeat cancer.
| This is
my second year of riding. I am riding for two main reasons for the common objective of helping to find kinder treatments |
| The first reason is in memory of my mum (Christine) who passed away a number of years ago. My mum received her diagnosis too late for any meaningful treatment and chose to live the remainder of her life without the burden and indignities of treatment diminishing the remainder of her life. She passed not long after her diagnosis surrounded by loving family. |
| The second is my own recent diagnosis and first hand account of the treatment regime for my cancer. |
| At the time of writing this (May) I am still in the first half of the treatment regime and while my prognosis is good the back half is expected to be quite difficult as well as there being expected permanent side effects that will need to be managed. |
| I know that fundraising like this contributes to the ongoing improvement in treatment options and side effects and hope that your able to contribute to this effort as well. |
